New Print: The Walking Dead

Hey everyone, Sorry for the long hiatus in between posts. After last year and being a little burnt out from the plethora of different projects consistently coming in, I decided to step back and just focus on the day job. It was a much needed breather, but now I'm back and ready to hit the ground running for an exciting and jam-packed 2011!
In celebration of 2010's closing, I thought i'd tackle one of my favorite discoveries from last year. I remember having a great friend recommend a little book called "The Walking Dead" (created by Robert Kirkman/Tony Moore/ Charlie Adlard) and thinking to myself "Oh jeez. I hate zombies. Threat level: Dull." But after picking up that book and subsequently being hooked for 2 weeks, nonstop, I was a believer. This material was scary. But not only zombie scary. It was scary to really think what happens to these survivors AFTER the movie ends. Do they become a worse threat to one another than the monsters outside?
To my surprise, soon after, I found out The Walking Dead would become a TV show on AMC. I waited. I watched. And it was everything I imagined and more. Beautifully shot, casted, told. I'm hooked and glad to know that come next October, I'll be able to tune into AMC to see what happens to Rick Grimes and the gang. Since then, I've been dying to create a print based on the show. But what I wanted to do is step outside of my usual style and go uber detailed and a little more sharp in the shapes. I also wanted to challenge myself to limiting the color palate to a new color scheme (Yellows, which I often stay away from for some odd reason). After weeks and weeks of procrastinating, I've finally finished it. I'm quite happy with it. It's new territory to me, but one I look forward to exploring more this year.
What do you think, folks? :)
